Hello there, Hurt/Comfort Exchange creator (assigned or a treater)!

Whether you're already aware of my existence or have no idea who I am, rest assured that I'm pretty easy to please so don't worry too much! I read and enjoy various styles, so go for the one that you feel fits best. Lighthearted and funny, or darker and angsty, or anything in between. I would prefer at least a hopeful ending to one that's bleak and miserable.

All tenses, all POVs (as long as 'you' is a requested character), all ratings (sexual content or violence) welcome! For smut, I generally have no top/bottom preferences and often prefer switching.

Noncon between ship characters, unrequested permanent ship character death (afterlife prompts = requested and welcome), focus on children/pregnancy, focus on pets, highschool/band/coffeeshop/etc. AUs that drastically change the setting, crossovers or fusions, omegaverse, bestiality, scat, daddy/mommy kink, smoking weed, focus on food/cooking, unrequested poly, ship characters as asexual or aromantic, trans/neurodivergence headcanons

I love hurt/comfort! So much! ♥ I've chosen a ton of tags to go with each ship and I consider them prompts on their own. Pick one or combine a few and go for it!

But here's a list of my general likes as well, in case they're helpful in any way.

LIKES:

Getting together, first times, new experiences, new feelings

Complicated feelings/relationships, inner conflict, internalized homophobia, themes of guilt or shame, esp. when met with trust and reassurance

Friends to lovers, enemies (to friends) to lovers, enemies joining forces to fight a common enemy, falling for someone who's unavailable (either taken or not into character's gender, or so they think) and pining, UST that gets resolved

Older characters pining for younger ones or vice versa thinking they wouldn't have a chance

Road trips, camping/hiking, movie night, working late together, helping the other move in to a place, attending the same party, casual everyday bonding moments

Missions gone wrong like a shooting, hostage situation, shuttle crash, getting caught by the enemy, lost communication, on the run from bad guys, stranded or injured in wilderness

Tropey things like amnesia, snowed/caved in, undercover as a couple, having to share a bed/room, being imprisoned together or separately

All the afterlife stuff (actual afterlife or reincarnation, waiting for the other/watching them/picking them up when it's time)

Feelings reveal (and/or hitting on the other character) due to pain/intoxication/truth serum/sex pollen/whatever, esp. when the other one's desperately trying to keep things normal, thinking it's just the drugs and not real and they'll regret when they're clearheaded again etc.

A gay-for-pay situation (for undercover reasons or as a means to get money) with a feelings realization (esp. when they try to fight it)

Emotional and physical hurt/comfort, e.g. having to watch the other be hurt, or being forced to lie/hurt to save the other, wounds and cuts, broken bones, dizziness, nausea, fever due to poisoning etc., helping character with addiction (less into period cramps, stomach bugs and runny noses as main hurt)

Forced closeness, casual intimacy, invading the other's personal space

Touching, esp. if it's not intended as sexual/romantic at first, intentional or accidental (esp. neck and lower back)

All imaginable time travel tropes (loops and groundhog days, visits to past or future, fixing things, getting stuck in wrong time, distorted pass of time, correspondence between people separated by time, ending up/visiting in alternate timelines...)

For time loops and time travel: Having to witness the other one die (and all the angst and helplessness) and finding out a way to stop it

Canon divergence AUs, roads not taken, what-ifs, fix-its, break-its (that get fixed), missing scenes, reinterpreted scenes, post-canon, pre-canon

Different first meetings, only one character remembers they've already met before (and maybe even hooked up)

Horror elements like ghosts, possessions, haunted places and items, curses, exorcism, creepy doppelgängers, things living in one's home

Scifi elements like dimension travel, alternate realities, telepathic links, being in the other character's dreams/nightmares, devices that make a character live in a reality that turns out to be fake/simulation, planted false memories and finding out they're false

I'll see if I can add brief notes and thoughts about my requested canons in the next few days. I hope I can! Work ate my weekdays but I managed to scribble down something, so here goes!

The Alienist

Turns out I still keep having to remind myself they're not actually together in canon. :D It's just that the vibe they give is so strongly "we're together together" and I don't actually know why. But it's great. <3 Hurt either one, have the other one comfort, and it's even better. I'm really easy to please with this one. Maybe they're in the middle of a case and something bad happens, but it could also be any regular Tuesday with a mundane accident, a mugging, or someone's blackmailing either one, or one's struggling with new feelings they don't want because now everything's complicated.

I know I just requested this in another exhange, and I'm feeling very sated, but I saw it in the tag set and couldn't resist my forever fandom. <3 So many good hurt tags to go with them, too! I would love each and every one of them on top of any previous prompts along the years. A brief moment of fixing an injury (and all the intimacy that comes from it), or a more longterm, emotional hurt, I love it all. These two are so fun together. Though because they're both so incredibly nice and kind, it's probably going to be terrible when one's hurt because the other one's going "no, I'm fine, I'm more worried about you worrying about me" because he can't help it. If they both happen to hurt? All comfort breaks loose. :D

God, this show. <3 It's one of those rare ones that feels like it's written specifically for me because it hits so many buttons it's kind of eerie. I love everything about this thing! It's got time travel and sci-fi, but it's also historical, and it's got so many likeable characters I have a hard time pointing out a character (main or minor, good guy or bad guy) I don't like at least in some way. And the character storylines, they've got details and beats that work perfectly just the way they are. I just, I love it all so damn much. <3 I think the only negative thing I can come up with is that it wasn't 34 episodes longer because I wanted more of everything. :D But at the same time, I got enough to not feel dissatisfied. So good.

So of course I would really love more of these two, any timeline, any point in time, with any of these tags as inspiration, as long as the ending's not completely bleak and miserable. I love Hillinghead's self discovery and the struggle when he's already married (and seems mostly happy too), the divided loyalties when there's this new thing with Ashe. I'd love him to find peace. And Ashe, he's so determined, so at ease but still struggling in a different way because of it. Hurt them, fix them, give them a great life, help them deal with a canonical death, it's all great. Keep them in their own time or find a way for them to interact with characters from the future, that's good too!

(As for how to deal with Charlotte, some hurt may be inevitable and that's ok. But ideally they'd figure out a way for all three to be happy.)

I spent a few moments trying to decide if I want Six to be hurt or Three, but then figured actually either one or even both is good. :D Neither one is going to be good about dealing with hurting. This is good. And while Six is probably better about comforting someone, Three's going to be a lot more awkward about it, and I'm really into both, so. :D I love their chemistry, the way they butt heads but also care about each other, and how they have to deal with everything that happens to them and between them. Add some kind of h/c into that and I'm a happy fan. <3

I've requested this a few times along the years so I'm sure you can find previous prompts if you want to go looking, but ignoring them is fine too!

Friends

They are the best friends and I want them to live happily together until old age. <3 I mean sure, Monica might be there too, and I really don't mind if Joey gets his own room at their place and this ship happens there, but anything before Chandler/Monica, or a good old canon divergence, would be great! Could be something work related (Joey's rehearsing lines or struggling with a coming audition/play, Chandler's knee deep in some demanding work project, a new person moves to the building and causes trouble) or something about them dealing with being roommates but secretly wanting to be more.

While I love the jokey, fun and comical style of the show, I'd also love something less jokey and more serious, because life isn't a constant sitcom even for these two. So don't worry about making it canon-level bantery and silly, that's not all I love about these two. <3

Lord of the Rings (movie)

I'm really going back to my roots with this one, haha. :D LotR was my first online fandom 20+ years ago and I've loved this ship for about as long. It's been forever since I requested it, though!

You could go anywhere with this, really. Whether it's when they were young, or when they're adults, a canon divergence or canon-compliant, all's good. The only thing I need is that it's consensual for them both. I'm also fine with combining book details with movie details, so if there's a detail that's only in the books that you want to use, go ahead. I love it when Boromir's protective of Faramir, to the point of self-sacrifice even, but I also love the idea of Faramir returning the favor at some point. I also love the "us against everyone, only you know what it's been like for me" aspect of sibcest for these two. Or just the tragedy of losing the other and then maybe reuniting later, and all the feels that come from it. I really don't mind becoming a mess with this one. Just don't leave them both miserable forever, the end, even if they're both dead at the end.

Our Flag Means Death

I was lowkey into this during S1, but then S2 happened and I think Izzy giving Lucius that whittled shark sealed it. :D They're really, really not friends or even friendly, and that's great! But also they could've become friends and they're kind of getting there, if things progressed differently, and seeing what that would be like is great too! Honestly, I'm into all the possible variations of enemies to friends or more with this, at any point during canon but also post-canon, with or without a death. Pick a tag and go, I'm sure I'll love it. Either one menacing the other and catching feelings, or reluctantly having to help out and catching feelings, yes please!

Strange Way of Life

This short film, while it's nice enough as it is, feels like the prologue to something bigger, so by the time it ends I'm left wanting more. I'd love something post-canon where they come to terms with what they are and what they might have and what they might be. It doesn't have to be pretty, I just want it to be.

I'm also a bit salty about the fact that all the steamy, hungry kissing happens with the younger actors, which feels like a lost opportunity. Come on, you have one Ethan Hawke and one Pedro Pascal at your disposal. You should know better what to do with that! (But also, I do enjoy the neck kiss & implications a lot, so you did something right.) So I do prefer them to be middle-aged rather than young, if I get to choose. But referencing something from their past or a scene set in the past to show their history are definitely welcome, don't worry.

I love these two and their conspiratory thing and how they shouldn't work because they come from such different backgrounds, but they seem to fit together perfectly. The chemistry's real. <3 Honestly, go with any of the tags and use it as a springboard for something that puts them together even for a while, and I'll be very happy. But i'll note that love it when Harvey's having a bad time dealing with having feelings, so if you can work that in I'd be thrilled. :D

My love for these two will never go away. My wish for at least one more season so they could have shown where these two were going to end up will also never go away. :D As with all the others, I feel like the requested tags should work as prompts on their own, so pick one or combine a few and I'm sold! And if some older prompts speak to you, and you think they'd work with these, go ahead!

I love the idea of either or both ending up in a situation where the other one has to comfort the other (or they're both hurting and comforting each other), whether it's a physical injury or emotional distress or overwhelming anxiety. They're not entirely equal because one's a boss, but they're also becoming friends and they obviously care about each other, so outside the job they are equal. They need to balance between job obligations and what they are outside of work, and I love it when that boundary has to be crossed, like when something terrible happens during work and the other one can't remain entirely professional about how to deal with it. Just 98% professional, because even then they're still good at their job. Mostly. :D
